The finishing touch for your space
Your Plants, Finally At Eye Level
Every Arches Plant Stand + Pot arrives ready to assemble and style:
4 Easy Steps. No tools required.
Assembly Guide:
-
01 | Unbox Both Panels & Remove Spacer
Lift the two panels out of the box and set them on a soft, flat surface. Remove the wooden spacer in the channel.
-
02 | Check Orientation & Slide Together
Check the included assembly sheet to ensure your panels are positioned in the correct orientation and then simply slide together.
-
03 | Apply Felt Pads
Press a felt pad onto the bottom of each foot. They protect the base of your stand and the floor beneath it, and they let you nudge the Arches into position without dragging.
-
04 | Add Pot, Plant & Enjoy
Set your vessel on top, settle your plant in, and step back. In a minute, an empty corner becomes the most composed part of the room.

Most Common Questions
I have pets & kids. Will this knock over easily?
Not in the course of ordinary life, no. But, we’ll be honest with you about what it is.
The Arches is solid white ash hardwood, and once a potted plant is settled into the vessel, the piece carries real weight. A passing bump, a brush from a tail, or someone squeezing by isn’t going to topple it.
That said, this is a designer piece, not a piece of gym equipment. A full-speed collision — a kid sprinting through the room, a dog rounding the corner at a gallop...will most likely bring it down.
Treat it the way you’d treat any beautiful decorative object: give it a spot outside the traffic pattern, where it isn’t getting bumped and knocked, and it will stay exactly where you placed it.
Does the Arches Include a Plant?
It doesn't and here's why:
We haven't figured out the best way to ship larger houseplants that look most striking in the Arches. But, we are working on it, so stay tuned! For now pick them in person from a local nursery or plant shop.
What size housePlant fits in the Arches?
A plant in an 8-inch grow pot is the sweet spot — sized to sit neatly inside the Arches’ spun-aluminum vessel. Anything much smaller and the plant gets lost inside the vessel. Anything larger and the grow pot won’t drop in.
If you find a bigger plant you can’t resist, plant it directly into the vessel using the direct-planting method in the Houseplant Care section above. But watch your scale.
For a closer look at the varieties that suit the Arches best, see our plant guide on the blog.
Where’s the best place to buy a houseplant for my Arches?
A local, independent plant shop or nursery. Every time.
Plants at independent shops are typically tended to by people who actually know them: properly watered, properly lit, and chosen to thrive in your region. That care shows up in the plant you bring home. Healthier, hardier, and ready to settle into your Arches Plant Stand without skipping a beat.
As a small business ourselves, we always prefer supporting fellow small businesses. Big-box stores can work in a pinch, but plants there have usually traveled further and sat in less attentive conditions before reaching the shelf.
Bonus: the staff at independent shops are some of the best resources you’ll find for picking the right plant for your space. Tell them you’re styling a plant stand, and they’ll point you in the right direction.
Jenn knows a ton of beautiful plant shops all over the country so feel free to email her at hello@braidandwood.com for a suggestion if you want one.
How Do I water the plant in the arches stand?
The spun-aluminum vessel has a drainage hole with a watertight plug, designed so watering happens at the sink rather than at the stand. See the Houseplant Care section above for the simple method that keeps both your plant and your Arches looking their best.
I love the Arches Stand, but I'm not sure how to style it in my space. Can you help?
Absolutely. Send a photo of your space to hello@braidandwood.com and Jenn will personally write back with styling guidance - placement, spacing, plant pairings, and how to make your Arches feel like it belongs.
It's one of the quiet perks of buying from a founder-led studio.
